Dr. Martha Hall
Co-Founder, Creative Director, and Visionary
Dr. Martha Hall is the Director of Innovation of Health Sciences at the University of Delaware and the founder of Dr. Martha Hall Designs and FashionableScience.com, which are dedicated to promoting and creating adaptive apparel, wearable technology, and other innovative solutions for populations with special needs. She holds a Ph.D. in Biomechanics and Movement Science and is also trained in apparel design, kinesiology, human factors and motor development, and coding for wearable electronics and biomechanical analysis.
The Delaware native started her career in health wearables after meeting Dr. Cole Galloway, the Founder of GoBabyGo. GoBabyGo is an organization based at the University of Delaware, focused on creating family-friendly assistive technology for babies and toddlers with disabilities. Martha began collaborating with Cole and his research team on assistive technology embedded in children’s clothing. Through that experience,, she focused her career on the design, development, and testing of wearable devices to promote patient independence, mobility, and quality of life.
A core value of Dr. Martha Hall Designs is patient/caregiver empathy, born from her personal experience as a caregiver to her late husband.

CHARLIE HORN is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor in numerous high growth companies. He is an innovator in the health care and consumer benefits arena, utilizing strong marketing and category changing technology. Multiple national business publications have recognized Charlie, he has been awarded the Thomas R. Brown Excellence in Entrepreneurship award, and The University of Arizona McGuire/Anheuser Busch Entrepreneur-in-Residence award. Charlie and his family created the Horn Program In Entrepreneurship at the University of Delaware in 2012. The Horn Program has already become leader and innovator in entrepreneurship education and commercialization across the globe.
Sherry Hoskinson
Managing Partner | CEO
SHERRY HOSKINSON is managing partner of Dr. Martha Hall Design, LLC., and serves as SVP for 5Lights, a holding and management company associated with Dr. Martha Hall Designs, LLC. Prior to joining 5Lights, Ms. Hoskinson spent 20 years evolving best practices in entrepreneurship and commercialization at the University of Arizona, first as the Director of the renowned McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship, and then as the Director of Commercialization at the University of Arizona’s technology commercialization organization — Tech Launch Arizona (TLA). Ms. Hoskinson holds executive leadership positions in national organizations including the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship and the Global Consortium for Entrepreneurship Centers. Ms. Hoskinson is attributed with several award-winning models and approaches to entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship education..
Matt Muehlebach
General Counsel
Mr. Muehlebach is responsible for managing, supporting and effecting all legal functions and matters within Dr. Martha Hall Designs, LLC, and across all 5Lights portfolio companies and private equity investment activities. Mr. Muehlebach received both his Bachelor of Arts degree (1991) and his Juris Doctor (1996) from the University of Arizona. Mr. Muehlebach has served on numerous boards in Tucson, including the University of Arizona National Alumni Association and Bank of Tucson, where he was the youngest Board member and a member of the loan committee. He is currently a board member for the Law College Association of the University of Arizona, and a member of the National Leadership Council at the University of Arizona and the Make a Wish Ambassador Board of Southern Arizona.
Tracy Shickel
Business Team and Ecosystem SME
Tracy Shickel is the Director of Economic Development at the University of Delaware (UD). As a UD technology commercialization entity, Dr. Martha Hall Designs, LLC, is a manifestation of UD’s economic development role. In her role at UD, Tracy leads campus-wide corporate and government engagement supporting innovation community growth, including the University’s Science Technology and Advanced Research (STAR) Campus. Tracy’s background prior to UD includes extensive strategy development and commercial leadership with chemicals, biologics and advanced materials innovators such as WL Gore, DuPont, FMC and Monsanto.
Tracy is a connector, supporter and facilitator of regional economic development and has served on various boards committed to creating vibrant innovation communities including UD Horn Entrepreneurship, the University Science Center Community Engagement and PHLLife Congress. Tracy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Marketing Management from the University of Delaware.
John J. Jackson Sr.
Athletic and Medical Development
John Jackson is Director of Business Development for the Arizona Center for Accelerated Biomedical Innovation (ACABI). In his role within ACABI, Jackson regularly engages with potential commercialization partners that are in a position to advance Dr. Martha Hall Designs, LLC inventions, and works closely with DMHD team to move inventions to the marketplace.
John has nearly two decades of professional business development and operational management experience in a variety of technology services industries. Most recently, John served as the Senior Business Intelligence Unit Manager for Tech Launch Arizona, the University of Arizona’s technology commercialization arm, providing valuable decision support for the commercialization of University of Arizona intellectual property. John is a University of Arizona alum with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with focus in Entrepreneurship from the Eller College of Management. John is an alum of the McGuire Entrepreneurship Program and is presently an Adjunct Lecturer in the Norton School of Family and Consumer Sciences, both at UA.
John is experienced and skilled in identifying market opportunities and the development of go-to-market strategies for technologies in a variety of domains. Taking into consideration the prime factors of technology commercialization, John has successfully launched and operated technology based companies to early stage revenue generation and alternative market entry, while driving the long term strategies of the company.
His multifaceted experience in industry-facing management roles have provided him a unique perspective in conducting industry needs analysis, identifying IP value propositions, and presenting viable solutions to potential partners. John’s professional network spans the business landscape and his practical, consultative approach has made him a trusted advisor to internal and external clients.
Julia Levine
Marketing Coordinator
Julia specializes in making data-driven, creative decisions. From planning social media strategy, producing videos, to selling products and services, Julia is a natural-born campaigner that makes objective choices for creative using her advanced understanding of statistics. A Renaissance woman who combines expertise from an MBA degree with experience in film & TV production (Jerry! Jerry!), non-profit, and business marketing, she’s a strategic thinker and master communicator. Anyone who has worked with her will think of her infectious cheer!
Anthony Ramies
Analyst Intern
Anthony joined 5Lights as an analyst intern in July 2020, pursuing degrees in pre business and IP Law. Prior to 5Lights, he completed financial internships at both Meggitt and the University of Arizona. Originally from the Bay Area, Anthony is currently in his final year at the University of Arizona where he plans to graduate with a major in law and a minor in business administration.
